Cal is the President of Silver Creek Commodities and Silver Creek Crop Insurance based out of Davenport, IA. In May of 1986, he graduated from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Agriculture Business and Animal Science. Cal has been helping Ag producers manage risk and operate profitably since 1989. Cal services clients in IA, IL, NE, WY, CO, and MT.
Tyler is a crop insurance agent and commodity broker based out of Davenport, Iowa since 2010. Tyler graduated from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Tyler services clients in IA and IL.
Steve is based out of his home town of Greeley, Co. and has been a Crop Insurance Specialist with Silver Creek since 2009, servicing clients in CO, NE, WY, and MT. Steve has been a business owner in Greeley for over 30 years, and brings his business experience to the agricultural community in the form of applying sound businesses practices to risk management. He & his wife Debbie have raised 5 children in Greeley and now have 15 grandchildren. Steve spends his time enjoying weekends at his cabin in WY mixed with hunting, snowmobiling , hiking, as well as running a few marathons a year with Debbie.
Troy is based out of Rock Falls, IL and services clients in Illinois. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Agri-Business and was raised on a livestock/grain farm in northwestern Illinois. He has managed fertilizer plants and grain elevators and moved into the risk management field in 2006 and has been a commodity broker and crop insurance agent since. He spends his time with his wife and 2 kids while enjoying outdoor sports like running, cycling, and hiking.
Duane is based out of Maynard, IA and services clients in Iowa. He has been involved in ag business and the futures industry since 1978. From an assistant manager at a large Iowa cooperative to a floor trader and broker in Chicago, Duane has worked with producers and grain elevators to manage futures, basis and spread risk. Duane has been writing daily market commentary since 1987 and currently works directly with producers to market their grain, manage risk and optimize their crop insurance decisions. Duane’ deep experience with basis, spreads and market analysis sets him apart as a crop insurance agent and risk management consultant, helping him to optimize producer marketing decisions.
Greg has nearly 45 years of experience in Production Agriculture and Risk Management, navigating challenges like droughts and floods by simplifying complex issues and focusing on client-centered solutions. After a stint in Ag Lending, Greg spent 20+ years in Chicago as an ag-oriented hedging broker, gaining insights into successful risk management strategies. He later became a licensed crop insurance agent and has worked with multiple Crop Insurance Providers. At Silver Creek, Greg focuses on innovative risk management strategies and explores the impact of Carbon and Climate Compliance on U.S. agriculture.
